No, they never replied. I'm sure they found it interesting though being described as a "harlot" and "disgusting thing".

In the past, individuals and groups have used the WT publications to educate the government, particularly during WW1 in the US which partly led to the incarceration of the WTS board of directors, in the USSR and Russia, and France. It has been 'successful' to some degree.

During some of my trips home I'd make a point of reminding my JW relatives how bizare their beliefs are when viewed in the cold light of day. I'd sometimes pepper conversations with dodgy comments.
For example if they began moaning about terrorism I'd say something like "well as a JW I spend years earnestly praying for the violent overthrow of the Australian Government".

This is a good thread! The Witnesses believe in their own importance. This is obvious when one reads the Revelation Climax! book. And all the WT. prophecy books point to how wonderful only JWs are and how God uses them as a special people. They foster a "us against me" mindset. Being persecuted makes a Witness feel good!!! It creates the delusion that they are God's chosen people----always oppressed, always waiting for deliverance.

Personally, I can't believe the UN would give even the slightest notice to the comments the WTBS has made. I'm sure with all the problems in the world a "organization" rambling on about them being a "scarlet colored wild beast" is the least of their problems. I would think war, poverty and trade disputes are taking up most of their time. 1/10th of 1 percent of the worlds population is hardly noticeable.

Now that Ive been out for several months I AM AMAZED at just how small and trivial the jw's are to the rest of the world. When I was an active witness I felt that the whole world was out to get us, now i realize nobody give a flip about some weird cultish religion known as JW's. And after all that preaching nobody has any idea was the witnesses even believe. I will even go a step further. You can ask most witnesses what they believe on certain issues, and they cant even tell you there current belief.
