It took me years, but I feel very much at peace with myself now and have healthy self-esteem. I suffered for years from severe depression and low self-esteem, in part due to all the guilt-bashing at the Kingdumb Hell.
I feel sooooooooo relieved that I'm not wasting the rest of my life waiting for the big A to happen.

I feel just terrific, the worst thing for me was living such a bland life. I used to have these dreaded feelings that I'd just be doing my dumb job for years and die single. When I finally took the leap of faith it needed to start liking a 'worldly man' life became great. Now we are planning our lives, looking ahead, thinking about careers, where to live, how to develop our property, improving our education.... it's so exciting to be making real plans based on reality; not hedging my life on a dream.

Don't know if it was guilt or, simply a feeling of being out of place...been to long to remember. Do know this, I got the greatest wife a man could have in their life and wouldn't change a thing...no telling where I'd be today without my non JW family...I'm goofy enough as it is...
