Once again I am more than a little 'ticked' off after reading all of this....I listened to SOL's tapes and to my way of thinking, he was continaully accused of lying when in fact by listening to his taped conversations with the elders, they were doing the dirty deed themselves. Their case for apostasy was weak ...very weak...and their arrogance was appalling. Now I just finished reading Lady Liberty's notes on the Grayson book vs the Insight book.....grrrrrrr....................
So I think a piece of paper with the heading 1914 FRAUD..and then a blow by blow account summarizing the contents of the two should be written and mailed to headquarters and then mailed to every Elder you can think of. Then I think it should be forwarded to the media along with a copy of the custody brochure, perhaps the audio tapes that clearly spell out their directive on choosing education or the society...and just anything else that can be found that clearly implicates them in lying. There is no such thing as theocratic warfare....there is quite simply plain lying and manipulation here and it just gets more sickening every time these things come to light.

Yep, the whole thing went exactly the way I planed it from the beginning. I'm rather pleased with my little project, this is something I can play back 10 years from now and laugh and wonder how I ever managed to say in as long as I did.

I AGREE!! I wonder what that lady who is going after the Society for the Tort of Misrepresentaion would think of these misquotes. Wouldn't you think that a court of law would see a pattern of misquoting others if she showed this to the courts along with the misquotes on blood??

We're anxious to hear your tapes. We've been gone a few days, but our kids have kept us up-to-date on your post. Just a note about education. At Bethyl, who educates the lawyers for the Society, who programs the MEPS printing machine. Did these experts in their field educate themselves??? It seems the WT wants educated men at headquarters, but the rank-and-file is to be uneducated. The uneducated have a hard time thinking for themselves. The educated ask questions, and do not redily believe anything and everything anyone tells them without facts. The Bible and the real "truth" can stand up to any questions, the Watchtower "truth" can't.

When the do finally ask you if you believe that the WT is the fds, turn it back on them. Say that it is very disturbing to you that they are more concerned with your view of the organization than with whether or not you are faithful to Jehovah. Point out that they have not asked you any questions about your relationship with God, which is a far more important issue. Ask them why that is. Put them on the defensive and keep them there. Don't answer the question. Ask them instead, how they know that it is the fds. Hand them your Bible and make them prove it.

Well, I have just heard stupidity displayed as a true art form. I truly believe that these elders believe that Denial is a river somewhere in Africa. How could you, brother, be so foolish as to think, opps!!, bad choice of words, (thinking alone could get you disfellowshiped) that education could possibly be something Christians should even briefly consider of any value!!
Evidently the Society has all the answers, and we should accept what they say over all other sources on this planet, no matter what the subject may be of concern to us. We want to know about 607? Simple!! We just look it up in the Insight book and presto, we have the answer."Wait a minute, I don't remember reading about the Society having an archeology division over in Iraq looking for artifacts and then publishing the translations, so how would they possibly know anything about the tablet they use to verify they year 539 B.C.? Thats right, they take the word of very educated men who have studied for years and have published their findings in books, and are in many cases teaching in universities all over the world.
Even the British Museum is scoffed at by the one elder. I would say that this elder is a bit behind on his reading, as the Society makes reference to the tablets in the British Meseum as a source of proof for the different Babylonian kings. Do these elders really believe that the organization doesn't have dozens of there writing staff pouring over hundreds of article and papers from all over the world on every conceivable subject to get information that comes from experts educated in centers of higher learning everywhere?
Does the society have in their library at headquarters books on history, geography, etc. that are written by non witnesses? You bet!! What was their excuse for being an NGO for 10 years? Thats right, they said they wanted to use the U.N. Library.Yes, they wanted access to worldly sources so they could write articles in the Watchtower and Awake magazine, and offer this said information as "meat in due season". Maybe we would be wiser cutting the middle men (Society) out of the picture, and just go straight to the library and do our own research!!!, But then again, that would also be a No,No!!
It is very apparent that you were " milking a dead cow" trying to reason with men like these. I know how frustrating you must have been trying to get a straight answer from men that had you convicted before you ever opened your mouth. I would say that the issue of 607 B.C. is the single most important subject to keep bringing up to those you talk to in the future. I thought you did a fine job trying to defend yourself, and my wife and I thank you.

I really admire how your whole family has stood up to the elders and the society over this, you stood up for what was right and risked everything because you refused to live a lie anymore. Seriously, I admire your whole family very much, you have really inspired me a lot through all this. I handed in my appeal letter today and am going to present a very good argument for 607 this next time around, and hopefully people out there on the web will see how the elders and the society refuse to listen to reason and their true nature will be brought to the fore. I know what I'm doing now is right, morally and spritually I could not take any other path. To stay in and pretend I'm one and support the lie just to keep my parents happy is not an option for me anymore. This orginization has caused to much pain and the people in charge have to much power over other peoples lives. This project is my own crisis of conscience, its my way of speaking out against the injustice done by the borg. When I think that I've actually studied with people and helped them get baptized into this cult I feel ashamed. I hope this project will redeme me in some way for what I have done.
