If this were some old person in the hospital the elders I knew may never get there for a visit, but given a chance to go and disfellowship somebody, hot diggity dog the elders are right there on top of it, right on top of it, this is what they live for. When I was a JW you couldn't count time for actually doing something kind or charitable for somebody sick or old and alone.
You have our support here, Lola. BTW I don't think you were being stupid. We all reach a point where we have to be vocal about our beliefs and opinions.

sorry to hear about that lola ... u got my support ... my current tactics are as follows ... while talking to witnoids, elders, be a witnoid (think, talk, walk like a witnoid) ... once you are out their radar ... be yourself. Load a different OS when you are around a witnoid, reboot your brain, press F8, select WITNOID OS, once you are done, reboot into your normal OS. Some won't agree with this "arrangement" but some need to cling on to this form of physchological warfare for our beloved family members.
Finding more and more that I can't do that. Most everytime my brain is rebooted into "witnoid" mode I get the blue screen of death followed by a memory dump. Processing core is now refusing Witnoid OS reload.
i hear ya 95. sounds like a reformatting is needed to remove all the WT-ware/WT root kits that did cannot be removed.
Some of us need to cling on to an unstable system otherwise our whole freaking network will crash.
The freaking WTS got badly infected, they had a chance to remove all the bugs but it's too late...all the pubs (workstations) got infected. Best of luck to those who have detached from the Watchtower Domain.
The society never said the end would come in 1975. That's actually true, but I have an answer for it: The society doesn't actually say anywhere that you can't have a beard. The society doesn't actually say that anyone is disfellowshipped (So and so is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses). They also don't ever say a lot of the things that you will see every witness doing. It's an easy argument to win, because if someone pushes it hard enough, you can turn it around and show them that they just proved you can live very different from the witnesses and not go against what the society says.
