The Faithful and Discreet Slave will pass away soon, at least the member of the GB, the only ones left will be the newly appointed other sheep.
How will the society explain the fact that we are not being led by the Faithful and Discreet slave anymore and since they give us the "food at the proper time", how ill we be able to get that from the other sheep?
Any thoughts?

In an org that in the past has shown an ability to make fundamental changes in their doctrines even 180 degree turns we must not be surprised if tomorrow they change to saying that the 144000 is not a literal number finally agreeing with what everyone was telling them for decades.
Or some other silly excuse such as that the anointed will direct the Nethinim from heaven as they did while on earth. -

Hi UNCLEAR,
Big imaginary problem in an imaginary world.
(1) The so-called "FDS" is only a pretext to justify the authority of the GB (the latter is supposed to "represent" the former = the "anointed remnant").
(2) The pretext still works although it logically shouldn't. The whole doctrine of a "remnant" + "a new class" started from the idea that the "heavenly calling" ended in 1935. Sure the WT made room for "exceptional callings" after that date, but they have reached the point where such "exceptions" have become majoritary, not only in the 8,000 or so Memorial partakers, but in the GB itself.
(3) They have come to a very paradoxical situation. Theoretically the GB derives its "authority" from a group of "Memorial partakers" which, in practice, it regards as mostly suspicious. And it cannot voice this suspicion too much because it is equally suspicious by the same standards.
But this is only a theoretical problem, and there are thousands of potential theories to solve it. The vast majority of JWs don't care about it at all. What they have in mind is "God's spirit-directed organisation," no matter how it works. In the end no authority can be "justified" without a circular reasoning.

The WTS has already discussed the eventuality that the anointed (not just the GB) will soon die and join Jesus in heaven. They say they have been training men of the other sheep persuasion to take over at Bethel when they are gone. That is why they switched all the administrative staff in the legal corporations to men of the other sheep in 2000.
Of course, they just appointed 2 men that are in the late 40's to the GB. Based on the current longevity of older GB members, they will probably be around for at least 50 years.
The question I have is do all the anointed have to have died and be in heaven when the marriage of the Lamb takes place as the WTS says, shortly after Babylon the Great is destroyed and the great tribulation begins. That would mean that several of the GB and other anointed will have to die long before they would naturally......or else the end is another 50 years away when the new GB appointees die naturally.

Like Narkissos said the problem is imaginary. They make the rules as they go. If enough questions come in about current spin they will simply change the rules. New Light (tm) will flash up and lo and behold Jehovah will reveal that the GB were prophecied in some obscure text to be all replacement "annointed" when the end comes! LOL don't worry about the GB they aren't.

Ha ha!

Exactly. And by the way: Why do they just live on for so damn long, those old geezers. Power and selfrighteousness must be good for the health. Anyway, it will be interesting in the next few years. Except for the two new ones, the others are really old, and will be entering Sheol anytime now. I wonder what the WTS will do then. My bet is that they will appoint "young" ones, like the recent additions, guys in their 50s. But like Narkissos said, it doesn`t really matter to the average JW, that whole "annointed" and "fds"-thing doesn`t concern them in their daily business of distributing magasines to buy his/her ticket into the "new system". Just put your trust in Jehovahs organisation blah blah blah.

My opinion.. The Watchtower has been the 'evil slave' since Rutherford came on the scene..except for the few faithful ones in the borg like Raymond Franz...

The Faithless and Indiscreet Knave class will never pass away. There will always be suckers to prey upon.

Looking at the spin and 360 degree changes they have gotten away with in the past, they will be able
to do the same again. As it's been said, most JW's are not concerned with answering the hard questions.
If they were their faith would evaporate. So in the name of faith (blind & dumb) they will happily swallow what ever the GB forces into their mouths, no questions asked.
Hypocritically though, these same swallowers will probe, question and try to tear apart the beliefs of others. They live according to a total double standard.

The mortality rate of todays remnant is 15.7 % that means that about 1350 of them die each year but this number is largely replaced by the "replacements" who are all frauds.
The WTS is sick
