Thank-you Buttlight for starting this thread, and everyone for your nice words. My dad is 76. They found a tumor in his intestines, about the size of an apple, and they will have to operate soon. They said it was cancer. Cancer probably spread to his liver. They will deal with that too. For now, they could't go far enough in his intestines, passed the tumor, to see further.

Usually liver cancer is fatal.

My dad came back home, and it doesn't show that he has a tumor, nor cancer. He seems calm, although he is a nervous person.

My dad was always scared of dying. Who wouldn't be? But since a few years, he was reading his bible and wondering what happens after a person dies. He believes in the resurrection. Let this be his strength.

whatever gives him comfort at this time, let him have it!

you guys need to be aggressive with the doctors on pain management, there is a lot of help out there but you really do have to fight for good pain management care!

stay involved in his care, research stuff online so that you can be educated on what might help his situation and if you need to vent, come here and let it loose! we got your back!
