Well you were right , you convinced yourself of that!!!

keep that in mind when you talk to others, nobody accepts the real truth untill they are ready, don't force it or you'll lose 'em.....just give them the instruments to research as you did.... That is what was (is many times over) good about Quotes web site....

I expirienced exaclty the same thing as you.....Good on ya and welcome to the light!

Left Behind, I am sooo happy that you have freed yourself from the clutches of that horrible cult! I was caught in it for over 25 years. I was an elder's wife. While I was in, I was the most miserably unhappy person......the "truth" was literally sucking all my joy in life away with all the myriad rules and regulations to follow.........today, I've returned to the me that "was" before I entered the cult at 14 years old. I am happy, I am free, I am so very grateful. I am glad you have your brother. Unfortunately, my only sister has chosen to listen to the cult. My mom keeps in touch. I've missed all the growing up years of my nephews.......their graduations, the oldest one's marriage.......but, of course, they will blame it on me, that I was the one who chose to leave........I had to, to save my own sanity. Welcome to real life, Leftbehind! I know it is a painful journey. To hear that you have reconnected with your brother is wonderful. I am sure he will be a great help for you on your journey out.

I highly recommend reading Twisted Scriptures and The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse. I don't remember the author's names, but I found them to be very helpful. Also, it goes without saying to read Crisis of Conscience and In Search of Christian Freedom.

I thought I was losing my mind, too. Spent almost 3 weeks 24/7 researching and comparing before I finally accepted that the WATCHTOWER BIBLE and TRACT SOCIETY never has been approved of by Jesus.

Family, friends, and elders are coming by the house nonstop.

Just remember what the Live Forever book says about well meaning friends and family who are trying to influence you.

As far as the WTBT$, since they never have been the voice of God nor will they or anyone else except Jesus be the voice of God you don't have to equate them with God at all.

They are a lying deceitful cult that is stealing Jesus' position and authority.

They fit all the criteria of an antichrist.

The best part to come out of all this is that my brother and I are back in each others lives.

I tried to gently remind you that you had a choice. I'm so glad you heard me, that there was no reason to be left behind out of your brothers' life. Your brother is one rockin' dude.

What a great journey you have embarked on! Its sometimes very hard and scary at times and yet your own honesty tells you it was the only right thing for you to do once you possesed the real truth. Time is wonderful at getting you through the difficulties that come from the slow but rewarding shedding of the JW mindset.

Thank you everyone for the comments. I went back and reread some of my posts and I cannot believe how much has changed since then. Auldsoul I will ask my brother if I can pass on his e-mail address to you. I looked into the whole UN issue and after all the research I have done am not surprised in the least to find them whoring around with the UN but it did not stumble me. 607 is what really took me out and all those man made rules.
