Indeed, the bible is so cryptic, its a good thing we have fat dumb sluts (FDS) to interpet it for us and tell us what to believe.

It's symbolic, silly. They symbolically sing a symbolic song before a symbolic throne, four symbolic living creatures and symbolic elders (because they're actually the elders themselves). The number 144,000 is obviously literal but they're not literally men or literally virgins - that's more symbolism.The Lamb they follow is also symbolic.

See, makes sense now, doesn't it? You can't take Revelation literally - except where it says 144,000. Any idiot can see that's a literal number.

That's the crux of the matter, if those presented in these verses are clearly not literal male, virginal, Jews, and the JWs have no problems accepting that, how can they change in mid verse and call their number literal? Clearly within that context that should also be non literal.

Ok so if they are symbolic virgins what are they symbolic virgins of ? false religion? that would mean that the anointed would all have to be "born in's" Virgins of the world? that would mean the anointed have to have lived like monks. A symbolic virgin means they are Untouched, untouched by what? barney the dinosaur? lol

Isn't it nice to know that being with woman is considered "defile themselves." Nice to know that the act of reproduction is considered so nasty.

Reminds me of a joke ...

What you have to realize is the 144,000 is sybolic in almost every way, except for the actual number. That's dead on.
