Well the memorial finished an hour ago in Sydney, where is my wife?

This is the first year I have not attended the memorial ever. So I am sitting at home watching Prison Break, oh and surfing the net.

My wife and daughter went, which I was happy about, as now everyone in the hall will notice my absence and know I am an apostate, and was not just d/f for some petty crime.

But, it finished an hour ago and my wife is not home. I hope she is not being entertained at some JW house. I would hate her to feel she is missing her friends and start going to meetings again.

Anyway she is home now, all excited at seeing friends she hasnt spoken to for a while. Lets hope this is not the start of reactivation.

I found out my little cousin has been in hospital, amazing we are out of the loop after just 3 months.

There were over two hundred at the hall, which is a bit depressing. However, a lot were friends of JW kids that don't even believe. I don't know why they even attend but there is little chance of them ever being Witnesses.

Dr Jeckyl that was post 666, thats twice i've had a 666 post to one of my threads. Very apt.

Congratulations on not going - I used to hate the memorial - it was my favourite thing to not bother with and I have never felt a moments guilt about it neither!

Your wife probably will get made a bit of a fuss of - if she's been away for a while, but you know the drill ... even if she does go back the love bombing only lasts until they think you're back in and then its back to the usual mock-friendliness.

    Hope Prison-Break was more entertaining!

She did just say that she hardly recognised anyone, and there are only a few that she misses. She will keep in touch with them I hope without too much meeting attendance.

Now that they've observed what is probably the last memorial (lol) did they say what to expect next and just when that end is finally coming? Or is everyone to stay tuned?

Nothing special happened at my hall, just more of the same. (Shame to say I was too shy to give out the dollars this year, next year I promise, at least that could have added some spice for everyone)

I remember as a kid having bets how many people attended, we would guess which year was going to be the first year over 10 million, so that must have been the early 1980's, back when every year got better than the one before.
We need to start placing bets on which year will be the first year to go under 10 million. I still think it is about 10 years away.
