That's one of the pains of being a dub you are burdened with keeping up a good image before the world so as not to bring reproach to the lofty JW organisation. You have to think have I done anything that will damage the saintly image of the org?

Okay, I can't help it, I must be really bored or something. But I have to write the

    Epistle to the Clueless

Ted Jaracz, by the whim of 12 old men an Apostle to the nations, to the sheeple scattered throughout the 80,000 congregations who can't wipe their own ass without instructions: Greetings!

Everyday we give thanks, brothers, for the glory and munificence of our God manifested in your donations. And yet, the spirit of the air of the business world, yes, even layoffs, have been occurring at our headquarters. Therefore I entreat you, as beloved (but kind of slow) children, dig deeper.

It is reported that rudeness, yes, such pigishness as is not known even among the nations, is tolerated among you. First, it is said that when you go to a lodging, many of you, yes even more than four, sleep in the same room. Do you not know that neither under-tippers, nor buffet-hoarders, nor scantily clothed young women (mmm.... girls...), nor children who pee in the pool, shall be allowed to return to the hotel next year?

Repent, therefore, and cast the uncouth swine from among yourselves. Do you want me to come to you with love, or with a rod? Sorry, that's actually not a choice, the rod is the only approach I know.

May the blessings, and glory, and paralyzing, guilt-ridden depression of the Lord Chris Jesus be with you all.

I just need to mention about that tipping thing.

These people are constantly proclaiming that money is of no importance to them but getting them to part with a reasonable tip after eating is like pulling teeth.

I would NEVER EVER eat in a real restaurant with a Dub.

Oh goodness, daniel, what bad memories you have of carrying those signs! I felt for every guy doing it that hated it; I am sure some loved it; but to carry around those signs had to be worse than going door knocking. I felt like those signs should say "kick my groin" because I am sure it was as painful as that.

Do Good—At the Convention Site: It has been noted that some delegates have refused to cooperate with the attendants, even speaking to them in an unchristian manner. Because of failing to follow the instructions of the brothers and parking where not legally permitted, some delegates have had their cars towed away. Certainly, a me-first attitude does not identify one as a doer of good, nor does it bring praise to Jehovah God. Let us therefore be loving, patient, and cooperative.—Gal. 5:22, 23, 25.

When the convention doors open at 8:00 a.m., some brothers and sisters can be seen running, pushing, and shoving to obtain the "best" seats. Injuries have resulted because of this type of behavior. While it has been suggested that we bring a light lunch to eat at noon, it is not appropriate to set up tables in the parking lot to serve a large meal. This would give the impression of the tailgate parties that are common at sporting events.

Do Good—By Our Dress and Grooming: Following one of last year’s district conventions, the editor of a large metropolitan newspaper wrote: "More than anything else, it was the deportment of the Witnesses themselves that was most striking. How refreshing it was to see so many people carry themselves with such an air of dignity and respect. Dressed in their Sunday finest, hundreds of families representing the gamut of racial and ethnic backgrounds quietly streamed into the arena. Their behavior was in sharp contrast to that of most crowds that file into the arena. In fact, the Witnesses contrast greatly with most crowds in general. It’s become all too common to see rude public behavior. . . . Indeed, the crowd of Witnesses is refreshing." May we never allow our dress and grooming or our conduct to detract in any way from the spiritual atmosphere of the convention.—Phil. 1:10; 1 Tim. 2:9, 10.

    9

Do Good—At the Baptism: Baptismal candidates will want to treat this occasion with utmost dignity. Wearing modest bathing apparel will show appreciation for the sacredness of the occasion. It would be most beneficial for Bible study conductors to review with their students before attending the convention the "Questions From Readers" in the April 1, 1995, issue of The Watchtower.

    10

Our decorum and godly conduct testify to our Christian beliefs and make it easier for honesthearted ones to recognize the truth. Let us, therefore, "keep doing good" and be praised while attending the "Teachers of God’s Word" District Convention.—Rom. 13:3.

Same 'ole crap. We instruct. You follow and pretend that has anything to do with worshiping God.

Most of the attendants in my experience where pricks who just wanted the "authority" to tell people what to do! Wrong! Get bent and move on dingus! Im sure that you weren't' that way Daniel but remember it was a VOLUNTEER situation you didn't have to do it!

I think you should print up a bunch of copies of the part of the article where it says don't leave the building and when you go to the local restaurant hand one to every witness you see!

Actually this makes me want to GO to the convention! Tear down the paper over the mirrors walk around... Pick fights! Buy LOTS of concessions from the hot dog vendors to make a stink! Maybe I should go!

I am calling B.S. on that one. I find it r-e-a-l-l-y hard to believe that people were running so fast to get the best seats that someone was injured. Thoughts?

I do NOT miss those days of being an attendant. It's even worse as "internal security", but I won't even go there.

Daniel-p, you weren't one of those security brothers spotting the "foxy" sisters and relaying it to the brothers in security that they were walking towards?

Sad, but true. At our assembly hall, people would flock around the entrance doors before they opened in the morning, then stampede in to get the aisle seats or save huge blocks of seats for all their friends. I heard of people getting hurt several times (although I never saw it myself... I stayed far away from the mob scene, thank you very much!)

Oh how I do NOT miss assemblies!!
