Richie--I'll be thinking of you. I don't normally post on weekends, but I think I better bust out my home computer so I can read your updates this weekend. I guess I'm surprised it took them this long, you've been pretty open with your pictures and locations and everything. But to me, that tells me you've made your decision that you don't want to be a JW anymore. I really think you're a great kid and I wish you the best, and I admire the things you've been doing. It will be hard losing JW friends and family, so be ready to embrace the 'world'. Worldly people are really not that bad, I'm one and think I'm more decent than a lot of JWs I've met.

Richie,
Just don't meet with them! You are in charge of what you do. Remember, they do not control what meetings you go to, including theirs.
Do not dissociate yourself. Doing that will limit what you can do in a legal court of law. Force them to make a move. They may be guilty of slander by discussing you, and what they accuse you of doing. You evidently are a minor according to the law of the land; you have the upper hand at this time.
If you do pursue them legally, do so on an individual level (at the elder himself). As long as you do not pursue the WBTS, they will have a hands off policy in matters concerning the local elders – in other words, they will not lift a hand in support of the local elders. In fact, they may send some sort of letter, counseling the local body of elders, in order to set up a defense in case you go after them legally. The Society will let the local elders take the financial blow if the Society itself is not implicated in any lawsuit. Remember, the WBTS will protect their finances at all costs; as will any other worldly corporate entity.
Do not admit anything, do not say anything, take notes (recording of the meeting if you have a recorder) if you do decide to attend their “WBTS court of law”.
I hope the best for you. -

If these elders are combining an investigative committee and a judical committee all in one meeting then already things are being handled wrong.

All the best Richie, it was inevitable they would find out sooner or later but you are nearly 18 now and as you said you intended to move out about this time.

Good luck, bro. I wished I lived closer so I could help by offering you a room. If you ever come to Phoenix, though - you're covered man.
I personally like the "finger" picture. I would love to see a video of you holding your middle finger up through the entire judicial meeting.
