I talked to my 'ex' the other day and he "enlightened" me. He said he was going out with a 'plain jane' and they were deciding which restaurant to go to. He mentioned he wanted a good steak, so she recommended Del Frisco's, which is a pricey steakhouse. He didn't realize how pricey until they saw the menu, and felt he was taken advantage of, intentionally.
He indicated that he didn't think that a 'plain jane' would do something like this. So in his mind, plain women would be so grateful for male attention that they wouldn't jeopardize it by suggesting an expensive restaurant and pissing off their date.
( He's an average looking guy himself. )
Do you think this is a common attitude among men?
