It looks far far nicer and more practical than spending the District Convention at Sheffield Wednesday or Leeds United's freezing cold/boiling hot (simultaneously!), hard-seated stadiums.

They didn't think security through though - Christians are persecuted in Nigeria.

It's a kind of fart-proof TM design. Look on the bright side.

Well, for air conditioning you need expensive machinery and metals and insulation - AND power. And without a ventilation system walls would make things a bit hot and stinky, eh?

I'm just saying here in the US they think nothing of spending millions of dollars on buildings with air conditioning . They apparently do have electricity there so don't tell me they couldn't . I got so sick of the shake down over the money they piss away on buildings when I was a study , like everybody needs to concern themselves over that ,when most do live in poverty and can't afford a new car even. Does the church concern itself over those type issues . Not hardly. They act like everybody is holding out on them and get down right insulting over it . So I'm saying here that they need to simplify , even if it means worshipping in a tent . You know that's how ancient Israel did it for a thousand years.

A row of the plush chairs in auditorium at the Henrietta, NY Ass-embly hall cost more than that whole hall in Nigeria. I wonder if the brothers in Nigeria are allowed to have food and chew gum in the auditorium....

    lol.

Yeah, but on the other hand, if it was some fancy high cost building I'm sure there'd be plenty of complaints that the money could have been used to feed someone.

Why can't they give extra finance to the Nigerian people so they can have THE EXACTLY THE SAME assembly hall as what Australia and US JW's have? That makes a lot of sense! :| they are like "oh, who cares about these people?" (cry.)
