Alot of women deliver children with dignity and faith and are not scientologists.

What does that mean? I know that my first child was hard as hell to deliver and I screamed like a hyena everytime that oxytocin caused my contractions. It was awful, the worst pain that I can remember. It was even worse than my kidney stone. I remember thinking that I was going to die. I kept thinking "I'm not going to make it through this". It's a wonder that I did.

Then there's my neice. She didn't utter one sound when she was delivering her baby. I was amazed! I guess we're all built differently.

Then there's my brother-in-law's girlfriend, who said the baby was all ready out when she got to the hospital. Just dropped right out! How do women do that?

Somehow, I don't think sucking/chewing/gagging on an adult pacifier whilst giving birth is tremendously dignified. Nothing too dignified about laying on a table with your feet in stirrups either. In fact, there isn't anything terribly dignified about the whole process. lol

Sounds like you had a really rough time, MsMcD. Ouch!

I suspect no. Neither during the conception or the birthing.

Well.... ok, maybe a few stoic tears.

Now that baby Suri is here, what's next for the little Scientology princess? Scientology devotee Tom Cruise and his soon-to-be wife Katie Holmes now have the role of Scientology parents. So what can little baby Suri expect in the coming months and years? Well, for starters, Hubbard and his medical followers suggest feeding the baby a formula of barley water mixed with homogenized milk and corn syrup or honey in the place of mother's breast milk or store bought formulas. Children are expected to attend Scientology classes several hours a day, and not unlike Jehovah's Witness and other religious sects, and contact with non-Scientologists who could inadvertently talk to the children and "invalidate them" is avoided. Lessons also include teaching caregivers how to do "contact assists." For example, when a child gets hurt, parents will "gently recreate the incident until the child smiles." Scientologists believe children should be encouraged to contribute to family life and do not hold to the idea they should be "seen and not heard". Their website offers this puffed-up, somewhat eerie description: "Children are spiritual beings, and as such they need to exchange with those around them in order to thrive and live productive, happy lives. Most children raised in good Scientology homes are above average in ability, and quickly begin to understand how and why people act as they do. Life thus becomes a lot happier and safer for them." Hubbard's advice for kids not interested in learning about Scientology, or auditing? "If the child is even faintly unwilling to be audited, you can coax the child into short sessions, and then, as time goes on, lengthen them gradually," he wrote. No pressure there. ("Ability" Number 110, 1960)

Kitty, I wasn't having strong enough contractions, so they induced the contractions with pitocin. I've heard that when this is used that it can caused harder contractions. And it was over 20 years ago, so I'm sure that they refined the art of using the drug now.

    Don't be skerred!

Is this baby really Tom Cruises'?

After several wives and adopted children, why do you think that he decided to conceive naturally this time? I don't know but ever since I first heard about this I have sensed something fishy about it.

If she would have used the adult pacifier 9 months ago, maybe she wouldn't have gotten pregnant.

LOL this is a funny thread. "I hope Katie punched Tom in the nuts. Lord knows he needs it." I totally agree with that. Tom Cruse has few screws missing if you ask me.
