Calico:
Sewing machines are practically computers now! The end must be in a few minutes!
LOL - It's too late - they are computers! There are some nice high-end sewing machines with Windows on them now.

I just thought of something. The Studies in the Scriptures "The Time is at Hand" was written in 1916. This summer our district conventions them is "Deliverance at Hand." Could the fact that it is now 100 years from 1916 be significiant?

The sewing machine, one of the first, began to reach its perfection 43 years ago. Since then, we have all kinds of farming machinery and tools, and workshop, store, factory and home conveniences, in abundance and cheap--through human invention. These are shortening the hours of labor, and doing away with the "sweat of face," which the Bible declares to be identified with the curse.
LMAO!
If only I could have back the years I spent at my sewing machine to make suitable clothing for a ministerâ„¢. Yes I remember well the "sweat of face" making garb long enough to be considered a spiritual chase woman in the congregation, gosh if I knew the GB's outlook on this I would have at least counted my time sewing and put in pioneerâ„¢ hours!
Yes it was a curse and a waste of time.
