Allow me to correct your assumption: the blogger has not written to JWD (that I know of); I came across her space and pasted some choice entries into this JWD thread (with my comments). Other JWD-ers have since gone to her blog (via the link given in the first post) and further investigated her tortured posts.

Merfi, that is interesting what you said about the stamp on her site from the people who visit. Did I get that right? Is she just a very sad, confused girl or a ploy to help to identify more of us happy little apostates.To be honest, I can not be certain why she is writing to our site if she is fully convinced in the belief system of the dubs.

I'm sorry -- I wasn't clear on this.... I don't think she is writing to us (unless I also missed something). What I meant was, in msn spaces, the space owner can go into their space statistics and see how many hits they're getting on their pages (blog, pics, lists etc) It shows a list of which pages the visitor has visited and shows from which URL they are visiting. So, if we click her msn space link from the post here, it shows that we came FROM here, leaving the URL of http://www.jehovahs-witness.com and the rest of the post address as a footprint in her stats. It's clickable, so if she's curious as to who's visiting, she can come back here and check us out. A good thing, I think...

I've been following her blog for nearly a year. She started out with good questions, and research in other materials. Gradually she has been indoctrinated, grown more fearful and finally about 2 months ago, she deleted her entire space and started all over. The previous space had some truly fascinating and insightful posts, both from Charlene and from some of her readers regarding what she was learning, as well as JW methods. She tried really hard to respond honestly and do her research, but at some point she was the subject of a very intensive series of counseling sessions from her BS conductor and the elders regarding her continuing contact with "apostates."
She was told that if she didn't cut off her association through her blog that they would not continue to be "friends." She complied mostly, removed her space so she wouldn't "stumble" anyone, but is still retaining a little of her individuality by rebelling and maintaining her space in its new form. I question how long that will last. As of right now she believes she is complying by having her "rules," but my bet is that her space will have to come down before the elders will consider her for baptism. For the record, her "mess-ups" involve having a couple of drinks, the occasional joint and talking to her ex-boyfriend and answering the emails of potential apostates.
One more thought... she was linked on this site before, and when she followed her referrers and found us talking about her, she took it as proof that Satan was plotting to destroy her faith using the evil apostates. No joke. It scared her really bad. So if you can still edit, I would personally request that you make the link NOT clickable, so she doesn't see a huge number of referrers from here and think Satan is after her again.
If someone here is talking to her be mindful to encourage a close relationship with God and let her know she can do that without the organization.
Those here who still believe in prayer should pray that Jesus will help her break free from the JW cult and find Him.

On one level I agree with you, yet this is also one of the things I admire about Charlene. She is truly determined to make sure she can comply with what she believes are "God's" requirements. To this end, she has taken a menial position as a night stocker so she can be available for her meetings and study. That shows character, IMO. Misguided, yes. But she is really trying, and I admire that.
