When your door bell rings, do you still think it might be the elders?

Well, I can't say that I'm not a LITTLE nervous when our door bell rings and we aren't expecting someone. I shouldnt' worry, because my husband is DF'd now, and I'm sure we are thought of as a waste of time.

However, after 6 months or so of trying to avoid and hide from the elders, my initial reaction when the door bell rings, is that THEY'RE BACK!!!

One weekend we had an elder call us ( we didn't answer) he stopped over 3 minutes later and rang the door bell ( we didn't answer) then left and called again to leave a message saying he left KM's in our car since we weren't home.

My roommate is on notice to tell the JWs that I'm not there if they happen to come around. He said he didn't know any JWs and I told him he'd know them if he saw them. I live in an area heavily populated by students, where people usually aren't home in the mornings, so naturally JWs are seen around here quite frequently (I used to doorknock in my current neighbourhood all the time) but I haven't seen any in the six months since I quit going to meetings. Thankfully.

I live in a secured building, you have to get buzzed in first by the security guard, go to the main building, the visitor has to sign in, the security guard then calls to my unit and then they have to leave the main building and walk over to my building and get buzzed in again. Let me tell you, it is a pain when friends come over, but it great for the rest of the time. I NEVER get bothered by anyone at all when I am home.

Any "elders" or any "jw" that rings my bell would get a piece of my mind (just to say it lightly)!!!

    Yep!

I'm especially careful on Saturday mornings. I make sure the blind on the door is pulled so they can't see in.

Nope.. because our house seems to be marked on their territory as apostates or at least disassociated..My mother in law still attends the congregation in our area.. So they would know we still live here.. I have seen Dubs on the street but they always bypass our house..

My doorbell never rings, cause its usally my kids friends, and they just walk right on in. So if it does ring, I wonder who the heck it is.

Haha, funny you should ask that question, ordinarily no, but 5 minutes ago I was just browsing JWD when 2 suited men walked past my front window and knocked on my door, my heart started pounding and I got rid of JWD straight away, turns out it was salesmen.

No, jws are the one group of people it definitely won't be. We are both da'd, and have requested never to be called on.

Actually, I am expecting them to call on me in a few days...

And when they do, I'll answer the door. I want to NOT answer their questions. Their look of helpless frustration is priceless.
