I hear ya , I couldn't sit thru that with a straight face either . I enjoy history and they did a good job with the historical events but all that stuff is clearly an end time prophesy that ends with the great tribulation which is the only important thing about it .IMO The king of the north is the US british alliance or the anti christ beast . I think it very close to the description in Daniel as to how the king of the north invades the mid east just like the US and britain have done. There seems to be alot of "pushing" over nuclear proliferation in the area .
