The brother of the singer James Ingram was the guest speaker at our hall one Sunday. He could really sing too and you could tell he was sort of holding back not wanting to show off when he sung the Kingdom Songs.

No that was not the reason. He was thinking - am I really singing this sh#t? The devil really does have the best songs...

Looks like he was / is a dub, I found the following info at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/djs/colinandedith/grange_hill.shtml
    Geoff
John Drummond who played Trevor Clever was working at the Asda Walmart a couple of years ago pushing trollies and at BOC Warehouse in Swindon.

Still I suppose its different that window cleaning

    Greetings Stephanus

Smurfs were effectively banned from the JW viewpoint, due to supposed demonic undertones.

Exactly! And they were so popular on Saturday mornings that most Dubs stayed home to watch them instead of selling books & mags.

Heh, heh, heh! And who says Dub kids don't have common sense?

    Bruce Baker,

One of the few JWs in my congregation to wise up and get out. The only one to have the courage to talk to newspaper reporters about the Tacoma Dome parking lie the Watchtower Society was telling.

...and his wife and daughter, who also had the courage, smarts, and loyalty to stand by their family member instead of blindly following the commandments of about a dozen old geezers in Brooklyn, New York.

My buddies!! Thanks Tammy, for including them.

No one famous in our congregation, but in our circuit there was a TV personality. He got reproved and removed as an elder for posing in an ad for his local TV show, that was a bit risque. He was all scrunched up in a small box, wearing nothing.............it looked like that, but he was wearing something. Appearances of course, convict you.

At one of our District Conventions, one of my sons (15 at the time), who was and still is, a sports fanatic, said there were two major league ball players at our convention. He had seen them and was very excited. They were playing the Seattle Mariners that week, so attended our convention. I used to know their names and their team but can't recall right now.

I think what they did was very heroic, and I am very honored to know them. I am also truly very honored to know you Mulan, and your family too. I feel privileged for every day spent out of the JWs, and am so humbled by all of the other xJWs I have met. The rest of the world may not realize it, but what we have all done was a very courageous thing. Few who were never JWs can appreciate it. I have encountered some though, such as my therapist, who recognize our courage.

Maybe we should have a National Cult Escapees Day. Every year we could pick someone, like Ray Franz or Nicole Kidman, as our person of the year.

Hey Ellie, Hank Marvin was in my circuit. He's an elder. Did he move or did you move to where you live now? I bought their album because I saw him at an assembly.
