What if you were "IN" or "Active" and you sold Watchtower literature?

Would that get you in trouble?

If you got caught you could just say I was cleaning out my garage to make room for "new light".

Think of all the placements one could count......lol

There is a gambling element in buying as well if you do it properly. I snipe at the last second with my maximum bid - it can really get your heart going!

    Selling on eBay is gambling.

So is selling anything using an advertisement. For that matter, opening the doors to a business is a gamble.

Using the above thought process, I can trash all self-employed JW's and a good number of those that aren't.

I would discount this line of reasoning.

But he does kind of have a point...

for example you are not allowed to say "good luck", but life's twists and turns are full of elements of chance, or luck and likewise life can be a gamble.

    Sure enough, ballistic

And the JC that busts you on this will likely have an eLDER that is gambling on his own business and his own wits and ability. They will never "tumble to this".

The next twist to this is that all of this amounts to a "sin of pride" (betting on your own abilities and gambling that you can put "bread on the table" of your own might) and is also similar to the sin of "being competitive" (as in competitive sports). They will never "tumble to this", either.

Now why have I not been to a KH in 30 years?
