Well with all the New Light threads I started to wonder, is there even ONE example in the Bible of New Light? I've looked and looked but it seems that I can't find anything. I know certain principles or guidelines were expounded on from the OT to the NT, but you don't hear Jesus or the Apostles saying adultry is: ok, forbidden, ok, forbidden, etc.
Besides the vague scripture the JW's pull out of Psalms (I think) on new light are there any other bible examples?
only thing i can think of that MIGHT apply is the circumsision issue.
Last time their was (maybe) new light was when Sodom got the s$@t blew out of it.

The whole new light concept is false since the ever increasing light refers to the lifestyle of the righteous as opposed to the lifestyle of the unrighteous that gets increasingly darker. It does not apply to the dogmas of a religion as the JWs claim.
However it's unlikely that the apostles ever had to deal with new light that was neeeded to replace older discredited light as often happens with the JW dogma.
yeah, the transition to the 'new covenant' wasn't really new light in the JW sense though. The old covenant/Mosaic Law wasn't some sort of mistake in understanding that they finally "got right". It was "Jehovah's arrangement" for the nation of Israel.
In contrast, the JWs don't claim that worshipping Jesus was "Jehovah's arrangement" prior to the 1950s.
Even if you could find an example of new light in the bible it would be god changing his own laws.
It wouldn't be a religion making up laws and then changing them.
I just thought of some new light god God instituting monogamy then allowing polygamy and then not allowing polygamy.
