CYP: jw,
That was profoundly succinct.
Annie,
Don't stress over getting out a longer PM. Just know you are thought of...well and often.
Respectfully,

"God's spirit" guides all things. Most people are just too distracted to understand this.

jw,
That is an interesting question.
I always remembered the account in Matthew 12, where the pharisees attributed Jesus' ability to cast out demons to satan. Jesus then went on to tell them that blasphemy against the son of man would be forgive, but blasphemy against the holy spirit would not.
I have always struggled with that verse, since it seems counter to Jehovah's nature that there is a sin that would not be forgiven. Nevertheless I have always been VERY careful not to attribute the works of other to satan.
With that said, I think the whole game of crediting success to Jehovah is a dicey game. Naturally we want to attribute any success we have to Jehovah, it gives us instant spiritual "street cred". On the other hand, if we do it to much we risk making Jehovah look bad when we make fools out of ourselves. Naturally, Jehovah does not deserve credit for the mormons falsely claiming that native Americans are related to Jews in the face of irrefutable DNA evidence.
And what about anyone who is successful? Does Microsoft have Jehovah's blessing? What about people who simply are using good practical methods and processes that naturally lead to success? Is it possible for instance that the Jehovah's Witnesses might have his blessing, but at the same time they are using very effective methods to grow membership and maintain loyalty?
What might those methods be? Would JW for instance be as effective if they recommended that all read any argument or look at any fact that might support the explanation the JW are not his organization? I mean if they have Jehovah's spirit, it shouldn't matter should it?
Shouldn't the truth always welcome questioning and doubts because it knows it's quality will be proven and our faith made stronger in the light of honest examination?

I don't "partake" here too much any more.....LOTS of health problems and endless rounds to two different hospitals for testing and evaluations, x-rays....blech! I'm just very VERY tired and disgustingly weak most of the time. I only post a few things and then have to go curl up with my cat on the couch!
((Annie))
Sorry you are having an aweful time with your health. I just wanted to say HI and it is good to see you post whenever you can post; You are thought about when you aren't here even though sometimes it goes without saying

Hello JW. you said:
Are there any christians on this site? It would be nice to hear from some of them!
What is a Christian, please define? I believe the book you call the bible, gives that definition. Well here's one of the first steps to becomming a Christian...
(John 6:52-59) 52
Therefore the Jews began contending with one another, saying: "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" 53 Accordingly Jesus said to them: "Most truly I say to YOU, Unless YOU eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, YOU have no life in yourselves. 54 He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I shall resurrect him at the last day; 55 for my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in union with me, and I in union with him. 57 Just as the living Father sent me forth and I live because of the Father, he also that feeds on me, even that one will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. It is not as when YOUR forefathers ate and yet died. He that feeds on this bread will live forever." 59 These things he said as he was teaching in public assembly at Ca·per´na·um. JW, did you notice who Jesus was speaking to, the Jew's? And did you notice, Jesus said " Unless YOU eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, YOU have no life in yourselves. their is no mention of, differant classes of people.
So, question? if at the kingdom hall on the night of the memorial, those who pass the emblems, without partaking, are they not in fact denigning Christ? By passing the emblems and not partaking, are we not in fact denigning Christ, and the covenant arrangement, and where does that leave us? Jesus said: "He that feeds on this bread will live forever"... so how are we to "live forever" if we don't do as Jesus commanded, to eat his flesh and drink his blood ??? I believe this scripture shows what we are, when we denign Chist by rejecting those emblems.(1 John 2:22-23) 22
Who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one that denies the Father and the Son. 23 Everyone that denies the Son does not have the Father either. . ." What are YOU? Kind Regards Acadian
