When I was pretty young there was an MS who was married w/ a kid. His kid went over to a friend's house to spend the night. Next day, MS' wife was found beaten to death. The police later recovered a bloody base ball bat that was found hidden in the attic. The MS was tried for murder and found guilty. It was later found out that he was having an affair and his wife was going to turn him in and divorce him. He came from a long line of JWs all his family members were position holders. Anyways, he was DF'd, later reinstated and considered in good standing. I always wondered what the dead girl's family thought about that or even their son. I don't know if the guy will ever be up for parole or not, but if he is does that mean that he can return to the congo and serve in a position.
