Have you heard the saying [that] the more you think you know, the more you need to know... How true... When I read these posts I thought that this was precisely why I was interested in studying religion and eventually anthropology (which is heavily influenced today by DNA research. In fact pretty much every area of science is improved on because of DNA and gene research). Science and the scientific method used to define scientific data are concrete and experimentally proofed. You cannot do this with faith or beliefs because these things are based on myths. Now myths are great instruments for learning culture and societal structure. Religions are so full of the supernatural that we've got to treat this stuff as what it is , literature. These books don't prove anything about any god. God is a hypotheical concept which is dependent on your cultural resources. So, any argument or statement about your faith remains untestable.
