Is it sorta like... how they're not s'posed to know 'the day and the hour', 'thief in the night', etc... but they're gonna give one anyway, then deny they did later when it don't pan out?

Yah but in revelation it says that he is delaying the end on account of the final remnant member that is murdered . 1975 coulda very well been the end of 6 thousand years of mans existance. To people around then that were hoping in the kingdom it would have been a sign of the end but they forget the part about the delay in revelation .
