I was in the Howard's congregation. Their daughter's name was Sarah Kate. Very nice family. He gave me my official Bethel physical complete with a finger up the rectal cavity. -ithinkisee

Sarah Kate! Yes! I remember all these intense conversations with her about writers and art. I liked them all so much.

I would love to know that at least one of them made their escape, but it's much more likely that if they saw me today walking into the local grocery store, they would look up and smile, then, ashamed of their natural reaction, turn quickly away and hide their faces, remembering that I'm now disfellowshipped and a notorious apostate, and not to be acknowledged as even alive - an experience that happened to me a few days ago with a woman whom I've known and loved for 35 years.

As I walked past this woman, I said, "Hi Susan!" Then laughed outloud all the way into the store. This is a woman with 2 out of 3 kids disfellowshipped.

I've heard of him. That rang an old bell. Yes, when he was mentioned it was always in high regard. Like you said that was back in the 80s.

Funny you mention him now. Come to think of it, it was in the 80s when I last heard of him. I am curious what happened to him and his family.

From what you described he sounded like a terrific guy. Terrific guys don't last long in the WTS.

Funny thing about the WTS: People tend to "disappear" and no mention made. You just assume there are gone and don't ask.

    Strange mentality in that place.

They left Ireland (not Scotland) and are back in Brooklyn and Sarah Kate's married and in Bethel too.

Thanks, Scotsman, and thanks for the PM as well.
