I want to ditto what Elsewhere wrote. I have seen family who refused the pain control drugs ... no one should die like that. Recently a friends dad died from cancer. For the last 2 weeks he was at home on a morphine drip. He wasn't unconscious at all. Both he and his family had wonderful visits and dicussions about the past. When the pain doesn't take over and the drugs work you and your family will have a great bonding with your Dad. The saddness is great, but you'll feel better not letting your Dad suffer.
