Heehee its only a two year program for me in my province. Would you be willing to relocate to take a shorter program length?

I know a girl that has her master's in biology and NO lab tech training and guess what she's doing? Yup lab tech. I found out today she works with other people who don't have the course either just their BSC in biology.

How old are you? You're never too old for school! I'll be 32 almost 33 be the time I get thru this, but the pay and benefits and mental stimulation will be sooooooo worth the time put into it. I'm not challenged at all by my current job so I can't wait!

    Damselfly,

Its not so much age for me. I was born in March of 73. Its just more a question of whether I've got what it takes. Greener pastures in eastern Canada than southwestern Ontario eh? Whoduhthunkit? :) I'm tempted.

Thanks for confirming that it is possible to get some lab positions with just a BSc in other areas. Its heartening to see that the BSc isn't worthless. I've got to forget about staying where I am though, if I want to pursue something that I find stimulating and satisfying. I'm going to check out the local career centre and see if things have recently changed about the college courses over here.

I'm really glad that you're jazzed about your studies, and wish you all the best.

Yeah if you are a real lawyer, I made that comment because when my ex and I got divorced, He had an atty, and I did not have one because I was served the papers while on a medical leave with our daughter that was in hospital for 10 months with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension and needng a double lung transplant( she is still waiting but out of hospital and is a walking miracle, she graduated high school on Monday I was so proud) . I did not have the 5000 plus attorneys wanted, so I went online researched and represented my self. In the divorce I did not win everything ( financial things) However I won the big battle, of getting the custody of the children i wanted which was shared custody. They are with me one week and the ex the next week and neither pays child support. I also got the repesect of his atty and the judge says to me before leaving, I don't know where you got your overnight law degree but you did an excellent job in my court room I commend you.

I also am not a nurse however I have had to learn many things, because of my daughter, How to mix medications, How to admister them, How to do dressing changes, how to draw blood for lab work and constantly keeping a watchful eye on her for any changes.

I'm an international businessman in 2 countries. I get to travel and have some fun if I stay focussed on work. At times the business part is dry but I've been able to meet many great people so it keeps life interesting.

The company that sold Turkey Twizzlers (you can guess how much turkey there was in there, and what the rest was made up of) has had a sharp decline in profits since TV showed us exactly how they were made.

    LOL I remember that.

I'm a Regional Mgr for a Non-Profit Trade Association, soon to be Regional VP.

I work very hard 60+ hours a week which is well coordinated with all of the children's activities so I don't miss out, husband coordinates with me pretty well also considering I'm out of town two nights a week on business.

I love the business dinners but I can't seem to find a comfortable hotel bed, LOL.

    Graphics and signs....

Few years ago, sold all my sign making equipment, hated it with a passion.

Recently, repurchased sign making equipment. It just dawned on me how easy the money was. Basically I target construction guys, small businesses, farmers. Anyone who wants their business name plastered on the side of their vehicle. And some small signs.

On the side, I try real hard to kick my ass so I can write an album. It's getting there, but don't expect any new releases soon.
