Remember this includes JWs who go to some meetings and put in the obligatory 1 hour (for the healthy).

it SEEMS to imply that growth in the Organization has been stymied by the lackadaisical attitude in the Congregations.
Actually....this is nothing new. The Organisation has cracked the whip in this SAME manner for decades. Publishers are never doing enough. How many times are CO's when they visit as happy as a clam that the congregation he is visiting is doing so well on there placements and hours?
"Now is not the time to slack off" is ALWAYS their message with a cheap shot always included that "some are not heeding the warning".
Fear of losing your life for being a slacker has always been their ace in the hole that keeps the publishers supporting them.

I guess this means that when the Watchtower Society is exposed, beyond any doubt for JWs, as a selfish and cruel organization, the Watchtower Society will AGAIN blame the Rank and File for the failure.
"The Watchtower Society failed because of all of you were too lazy to
sell more booksserve Jehover." -

"Now is not the time to slack off" is ALWAYS their message
By the way, last week's article was the first time I can recall that the expression "slack off" actually appeared in print. Someone with the CD can verify that, maybe I just don't remember.
But I thought it interesting--although the context of the paragraph applied the expression to the Jews not rebuilding the temple, the GB clearly thinks this of the R&F.

The term "slack off" has occured in articles before.

Greatest Man- 1
Most have to do with shirking spiritual responsibilities such as meeting attendance and parenting.

I believe that this weeks coming WT is an indictment of all active JW publishers.
Most in my congregation didn't get it. I know...surprise!!!!! I think most applied it to themselves personally. There are some of us who saw it for what it was...the GB trying to shift responsiblity for dropping numbers from themselves and onto the publishers.
Wow, there certainly are no examples Bible of trying to shift responsiblity, are there? 'Jehovah, this woman you gave me...she offered it to me, so I ate.'

It's another psychological trick by the GB to motivate the dubs who are apparently losing their enthusiasm for the org, trying to identify them with the negligent Jews that got jehovah angry, the assumption is that jehovah is angry with the negligent JWs today.
Of course jehovah doesn't give a toss about the WTS and those labouring for it, but the naive dubs think he does.
