New Testament Greek for ' coming '

    3952 parousia {par-oo-see'-ah}

    from the present participle of 3918; TDNT - 5:858,791; n f

    AV - coming 22, presence 2; 24

    1) presence

    2) the coming, arrival, advent

2a) the future visible return from heaven of Jesus, to raise

    (strong's number 3952)

It would seem, therefore, that although many translations and version choose the second definition, it is equally reasonable to take the first definiton. Indeed, presence is given as primary.

NWT is not the only one to use presence, you note Youngs Literal and Rotherham also do.

Secondly, the signs he reports would require time to be fulfilled, and if indeed a thousand years can be as one day to Jehovah (2 Pe 3:8), then what's 90 years?

What else should be considered with relation to this verse?

I'm so glad to hear that... goodness I'd hate to induce cardiac arrest... but hey if it happens, then it happens.

It has been almost 2000 yrs since jesus promised to return soon. That would make 2 days for jehovah to sit on his ass. Is time the same for jesus, as it may be for jehovah? Anyhow, what if jehovah decides to wait a few more 'days'?

It's not really spiked, but I use the gel on the top part on the roots to make it puff up more. Usually though it's easiest to hop out of bed and toss some water on it and pull it foward and down.

And now here I am posting on what is technically a very apostate website. So. What do you make of it?

    Welcome I must say.

When I first visited this site the impression I got was that it was for discussions about Jehovah Witness' faith. I thought that there would be more JWs on this board not ex JWs.

    Hah!!

The only thing positive about the witnesses online is watchtower.org and jw-media.org/net/com??

    I guess that's what happens when you're technology-retarded.

    ahem. afraid of the internet.

i.e. preach against it. therefore, it is avoided, and the opposition has an open front.

I was once told never do an internet search on your religion; you won't like what you see.
