    Terry:
Given that every experience is filtered through the senses and interpreted by the mind, would that be subjective or objective examples of reality?

    Trevor:
Congratulations. It's becoming a rare feat. Enjoy your Silver Anniversary

    Nice try, but; no cigar.

Reality is what is regardless of whether we pay close attention or not. Regardless of whether Helen Keller could see "water" or hear Annie say the word she could feel the liquid pouring over her hand....followed by the sign language symbol for water. She made the connection! She went from being deaf and dumb and little more than an animal to a rational human being who accomplished great things.

If she can make the connection between objective reality and her own mind; so can you.

    Why do optical illusions work?

Why is it that the mind will turn 12 plain lines on a piece of paper into a cube, either viewed from above, or additionally from below?

Why is it that some hills look like they go the other way from that which gravity dictates?

Why is it some people can see stereographs and others can't?

While Helen Keller made some amazing strides, did she truly comprehend everything taught, or did she fill in some gaps, as human's do?

We all have our perspective on the world, and through whatever mental lens we have fashioned we extrapolate what our senses bring us. This isn't just the case for the objective reality of the world around us (which we never directly touch with our minds) but is even the case for our memories. This even goes for the value we place on things, be they books or human relationships.

Sometimes Biological Psychology is wonderful, sometimes it's depressingly revealing, to a being subsisting on electro-chemical reactions.

Yes, but I believe that God influenced the men who wrote it to a degree, making sure they included the pertinent information we need to know, but not every coma and period was not edited by God himself.

If the writers were inspired by God, they should have all the commas and periods and what not in place, without error. And most of all, they should know how to write the author's name!

Even when the only language they know doesn't use commas?

Isn't that a bit like telling us we need to have the "clicks" in the right place before translating something into one of the African languages?

Exactly! It's God inspiring you to write. He's going to make sure that you get it right. All languages should be clear to God. Edited to add: Isn't he the one that made the different languages so that the people couldn't build a tower to heaven?

Surely even "Chinese Whispers" shows that all communication is prone to failure points and distortion?

Whether all languages are clear to God, or not, some of the main themes of the bible come through clearly, and not just in sacred writTM. They are found in many civilisaiotions and many writings.

A comma regarding whether a thief is gonna be in heaven immediately or in a paradise a couple of thousand years later, after he has his legs broken while nailed to a tree, is hardly something to stake your reputation on.

If the WTS is good at one thing it's distracting folks from what's really being said. Conquering through obfuscation...

Littletoe, what are you talking about? Are we agreeing or disagreeing?
