Why not put a religious label on it and sell it door to door enlisting child labor. I know one business that has done pretty well using that model.

Mary,
My husband invented a new Wellhead for oil wells. It's alot of work trying to get all the legal done. We had to get a patent for Canada and USA. Then we had to find someone to produce the product and someone to market it. We are still working on getting them mass produced and that seems to be our biggest obstacle right now. We had legal issues with some local people trying to make our Wellheads and then selling them, but it is still worth the work.
At this point we are now getting Royalties on each Wellhead sold and I have to say that it is less of a headache having other people do all the work of producing and marketing than doing it all ourselves. That's a full-time job all on it's own.
Good Luck with it. All you need is one excellent product to make it.

Why don't you make a small batch and place it in the refrig and date it, then check it out daily until it goes bad, then you willhave a storage date. On your label you will have to state raw process refigirate after opening.
I was going to, but there's a university lab not too far from me that does this kind of testing. I'd get a more accurate reading from them, so I'm going to make an appt. to take a batch up there.
If your state is anything like Missouri, the first thing you will have to do is get a health license. In Mo you are not allowed to sell anything that has been cooked up in your kitchen. See if you can use a church kitchen or some place that has a health license. After you take care of the health issues, try a local grocery. You may want to arrange a tasting for the owner or manager. If they love it and have proof that it is safe, you may have yourself a market.
Actually hon, I'm in Canada and our Health laws are pretty strict up here, so I'll have to look into that.......As for arranging a tasting with the owner of a store---I like the idea but the problem is, with the large retail grocery stores, you can't just walk in with a product for the manager. You've got to get a hold of the buyer. I know one of the girls who works there, so maybe she could give me the guys name.
Cabin in the Woods said: Ok, as far as processing you can get places such a canneries to do that for you at a reasonable price. Cheaper and less hoop jumping! THese jars will be 'sealed ' and thus make a longer journey safely.
That's what I need!! Thanks!

Um......cause I got a conscience? Thanks for the laugh though---that was a good one!
