  Just saw this on google ads. I think he rushed into writing this book without knowing the full story. What percentage of JWs do you think are hypnotized by the stupid meetings?

  Sigmund Freud would have laughed at him. I guess all christians and all soldiers who die for their cause are all hypnotised.

  He obviously hasn't tried his own methods on a witness yet.

  Strange, I clicked that link in a moment of boredom last night and nearly posted it here.

  His comparisons between the WT meeting and Freud's description of conscious hypnosis further down the web page from what you've posted here, were quite fascinating. How true they are is another question.

  The choice of music for example - well I've only ever been to the memorials and the songs didn't sound quite as downbeat as he makes them out to be!

  There could be something in the left-right eye motion, I often used to nod off trying to watch tennis lol!

  I'm not sure about the four hypnotic suggestions and questions as I've never done so critical an analysis of WT articles, and I don't buy his 'proof' that a Witness is hypnotised just because they have no apologetic for a particular piece of Scripture - blimey, if that's his proof then the whole world is hypnotised.

  This is silly, and just another example of how some people refuse to take responsibility for their own decisions. Everyone likes to have someone to blame. There is only one way the WT can control people -- when those people make a decision to be controlled

  Your rhetoric is way too simplistic and takes very little account (if any) of peoples emotional states; decisions are often made sub consciously as much as they are conscious and as such people are more susceptable to mind controlling influences than others. You are right in respect of children they are different but those children become adults and cannot be expected to throw away their mental chains just because they have reached a certain age.

  Whilst I dont mean to be too harsh with you regarding your post I have to politely point out that you might undertake some more research before making such a fleeting statement.
