trying to get rid of old issues

Remember how at the district assemblies they was always the sign to only use one paper towel. And that paper towel was so thin that it didn't dry your hands. But you didn't dare take more than one towel because everyone was watching you.

After all this time I still feel slightly guilty about taking more than one paper towel when drying my hands in the restroom. Of course I take more than one nowadays, but there is a little voice in my head that says "only one towel".

Loosie (of the I don't have issues I have the whole subscription class)

was that in the days when they covered the mirrors in the ladies room? or do they still tell you how to take care of personal hygiene issues?

Another one to add to the list of many- proper way to dry your hands, how to brush your teeth, how to dress, blah, blah, blah

the last two assemblies i went to there were women in the restroom HANDING OUT one paper towel per person.

irked me so bad i'd bring my own roll of paper towels the second day..and make sure everyone saw me rip off 4 or 5 to dry my hands off..stick it back in my diaper bag and move on after i ripped the paper off the mirror to check my appearance.

WAIT a minute, what's this about putting paper over the mirrors!!?? They never did that at my conventions. What's the point of it!?

Hello fellow Wisconsinite, Good/bad girl, Of course I can't speak from experience only what others have reported. It has been reported that they used to cover the mirrors so women (never heard the men's mirrors covered) would not take up time primping and spending too much time in the bathrooms. Vanity and all that I suppose. Last time I asked about a time frame for this was in the early 80's, maybe they discontinued this practice.

Loosie, I also feel guilty about using more than one paper towel. Too funny, I think you're right, it's because of those damn signs. I used to pass it off as environmentalism, and I would leave the bathroom with wet hands because those itty-bitty towels are just too small to get all the wet off... but now I realize I'm still afraid the bathroom attendants are going to give me the evil eye if I use a second towel. Bwahahahaha!!!
Also, I just realized last week that I "don't like jewelry with hearts" because of that old "hearts are pagan" thing. I really DO like jewelry with hearts, and I think I'll buy some now. So phhhhbbbbt! on you Watchtower!

Ok, I'll admit it. I feel guilty because I once went up to a brotherâ„¢ at a convention and counselled him for holding a sign that said "keep moving" and not practicing what he was preaching. When I saw him later he was obediently holding the sign while slowly strolling through the crowd and generally getting in everyone's way.

And when you go to the restroom at the jewelry store Odrade remember to use more than one towel... that will show them who's boss.
