I know you will never agree with me on this, but it is really no more or less true than reincarnation. Look into it with as unbaised an eye as you can muster. The case for reincarnation is at least as strong as the case for resurrection.

The collective unconscious as proposed by C.Jung could also be other dimensions where the personalities go that die to this dimension. Look up Robert Monroe on the net he did lots of research and experiments on out of the body consciousness, heres his home page:

Have you looked into any significant objections to the ideas of reincarnation? It seems to me that you may be thinking selectively on this, as certainly we all do from time to time.
We always have to be careful that we don't turn what we really want and hope to be true into a soap box for untenable theories.

I believe that reincarnation is a possibility. However, I do not believe in past life karma. I also think that past life karma would not be necessary for the soul to be re-born. I look at reincarnation as nature's ultimate re-cycling program.
There is also the possibility of genetic or racial memory, a hypothesis that says that memory is passed genetically to offspring. A quick search on the web regarding genetic memory brought lots of sites to explore. I tried to embed a page from Wikipedia but lost my entire post. Here's the link instead:
I highly suspect that these eastern ideas serve the same happy-making purpose as the ideas that if we're good, we get to go to heaven, or live forever in some sort of paradise.
They provide a sort of fantasy hope for our continuation where there may not really be any in any way we can readily grasp

At this point, i think that what we are is more important than what we know or believe. Therefore, remembering knowledge from past lives is not important. Rather, simple qualities of character, like strenght, honesty, caring, which may have been learned, endure in succeeding lives. But, what do i know?

He has as his most recent pubication "Reincarnation and Biology" 2volumes 2,200pages.
Proof that the girl (or others) could access the information is not necessarily proof that she actually lived these other lives any moreso than if she'd related having watched the events in a movie that only she had access to.
Agreed, and even that much has not been provided. What if the writer making "the case for reincarnation" and faced with an overwhelming lack of evidence simply made up the story? I can't find any information online about Romy Crees other than the article quoted, or any records of a person with that name in Iowa (but I didn't look that hard). So, certainly, reincarnation is not the only possible explanation for this story. Perhaps there are facts and evidence to support this case. However, someone merely relating an anecdote does not qualify. It seems to me that if reincarnation were a reality, we would expect to see cases like this all the time. In fact, shouldn't most or all children be having similar experiences? Shouldn't the evidence be so overwhelming that we would accept it as easily as the fact of heredity?

Actually these experiences are more common than you think. Volumes of experiences have been recorded. It seem though that in the young children that have this recall, thier past life was cut short, they died suddenly with much unfinish business therefore they were incarnated rather quickly. Most reincarnation take many yrs 50 or sometimes centuries before they have another material body in this dimession.
