    Morning prince,
Will your grief motivate you to donate blood? Just curious And Im sorry to say that the posters on WOL ARE representative of the usual mindset. Remember all of us were once JW's and know from past disasters and tragedies that they do think this way. There are a few exceptions, but the rule is what you read on WOL. We all know this, denying it just doesnt make it so dear.Tina

    Tina,

I would indeed. It might fetch me the axe, but if I were in a position to donate blood for this cause, I would without hesitation.

But I am 10 000 miles away from there.

No Tina, there is no such thing as the JW mindset as expressed on WOL; the WOL mindset is a fringe mindset in my opinion. Gloating over a disaster of yesterday's proportion simply isn't what I grew up to know as a Witness.

    Regards,

I have quoted in length from the WOL Message Board in this article:

I have to say the Jehovah's Witnesses digust me more and more for every day. It's hard to talk about these perverts as human beings!

Did you know these people actually adds a SMILEY to messages about maybe 10.000 people killed! And they are giving "glory" to their perverted god for these events? Praying even more people will be killed in the time to come?

Naturally you do, but when you do have such events on your own doorstep, the statements might look somewhat different!

I need more BOE letters, KMs and other material. Those who can send it to me - please do! The new section will be interesting!!

Last night after the meeting ended, the "Bro" next to me said

"I can't wait to get home and check out the death toll!!"

He was smiling, glad and eager. I sternly reminded him that those were people in those buildings. He gave me the look of 'party pooper'.

When i read former jw comments many times i often wonder how many of you fully understand the role that a High control group has in shaping the mindset of it's members-

Many post speak of slapping brain dead jw up side the head, etc,

when in fact many of us had the same mindset- for those who didn't like my wife- great , but for myself i too once shared the same mindset

if i were giving a talk i would give perhaps the sugar coating of "too bad" innocent folks died, but in my heart i would believe that :

"If they think this is something - they ain't seen nothing yet" mindset

which is what you see when you read a jw post for the most part- as a jw generally we were never really taught to feel for others who are not jw-

and after years of having that indoctrinated into ones heart and mind - it becomes very easy-

as a black man i recall my grandfather telling me of black men who were killed in the south when he was growing up by local whites-

yet many of those whiteguys stood around and laughed as a black man swung in the wind with a rope around his neck

it shows that ones indoctrination of values- drives ones views

i saw some of the Afgans celebrating in the streets- in what context or if it was old fottage i don't know , - But look at thier indocrination or belief system- there is really no way around it that Belief Systems play such a major role in folks attitudes about things

one thing that is well known is that those who are not Critical thinkers- empathy is not a quality that they usually show

so when you consider that many of the jw are merely spouting forth the attitude of thier training it becomes clear why it is so hard for you or i to show them a couple flip flops on dogma and expect folks who live ,sleep and breath wt dogma to change overnight

i look at myself- i was a dyed in the Wool Society Man- yet it goes beyond just giving someone some facts about the errors of thier faith

for most folks that will not be enough to change them—

in all the post I have read over the years this link has an article that deals with the Mindset of folks who can be given correct information but due to our makeup as humans we can still reject what clearly are facts-

a few post back Seek did a back and forth dialog example of what it is like trying to talk to a jw and it was so on the money-

so don't be too hard on the poor jw, because I see over and over so many folks here and on other sites who once they clearly understand what they were apart of continue to state over and over again – how they could not believe that they TOO AT ONE TIME SHARED THOSE VIEWS

And they are giving "glory" to their perverted god for these events? --Kent

The perverted concept that some have of God does not make Him perverted. The perversion is in the mind of the one making the judgment.

It's hard to talk about these perverts as human beings!-Kent

I am one of those that walked away from the WTBS after having been a witness for well over thirty years. I walked away when I realized that it was not what it purported to be. I was not and am not a pervert and I resent being called such as well your grouping together six million people and calling them that. Some of the posters here, including myself, have family and friends that are still under the influence of their propaganda. They are being deceived and exploited but that does not make them perverts.

When you do something like that, any credibility that you may have had soon evaporates in the heat of your hatred. To recall what someone here has already posted, those were people that were in those towers and those are people that are in the WTBS's web.

I am truly sorry when anyone feels the way that you have expressed yourself. To call your fellow man AND God names diminishes us all.

-Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it-
