BoE Porn letter up on web

  Forget that it is "degrading", child porn is ILLEGAL. If it becomes known to the BoE that somebody in the cong is in possesion of that s**t that f****r should be handed over to the cops without a moment's notice.

  Those were exactly my thoughts too. Doesn't that in fact make their policy of handling someone viewing child porn questionable.. if not illegal?? I know they don't think with a full load of bricks to begin with.. but they don't realize that that policy becoming public knowledge could be harmful for their organtiztion.. ?? With all the press lately on Dateline and other newmagazine shows about men viewing child porn.. I am surprised they are not at least smart enough to take more action with the offender rather than "discussing" it among the elders and society how to handle it. Of course.. they always feel they are and deserve to be "above men's law".

  Since the letter only refers to "brothers" viewing porn, I must assume that it's ok for the sisters to do so.

  In Jehovah-Witness-Land, the only reference to WOMEN having urgings of a sexual nature is being referred to as a cow in heat. The rest of the time, all of the sexual activity is presumed to be initiated by the male. Not one line of this letter refers to women even POTENTIALLY having this 'problem.'

  There are no references (that I know of) in Witness literature that speak to a woman having a healthy desire for sexual intimacy. Except for the changed picture in the Live Forever book that showed the black chick in that -oh-so-sexy HOUSECOAT. LOL.

  I wonder what they would do if I confessed to watching soft-core all alone for years but only to arouse myself and then go seek relations with my wife? And nobody else knew and therefore I was respectable...

  I find this an interesting question. I have yet to meet a female who espoused the idea of porn being interesting to them. I just never thought of women as being 'wired the same way' as males in that regard.

  Any out there, in the name of informal polls, willing to admit that they are attracted to porn of any sort? Just curious, since it was mentioned by a woman that it was a potential interest by some. Sorry if my 43 years of Witchtower thinking is showing thru here!

  i dont know how to quote there, but i did my best :)

  i personally dont find any interest in watching porn.. to me... sex is something thats private and i feel it's invasive for people to watch other people having sex. I realise (no offense) that men DO like to watch people having sex (porn), and i think that it's kinda creepy. i do KNOW girls who like to watch porn with their boyfriends and husbands.. and i dont really know what to make of that. if there's two of them, whats the point in watching when you can just do it? is it a turn on? d'you get ideas? who knows........

  i dont know if i even really answered your question Jeff, but i haven't really been an active member on this board yet so i thought i'd jus jump right in with this ;)

  There's a whole genre of literature (erotica) and soft porn with female authors/directors that's targeting women. Evidently there's an audience there.
