I can agree it was one heck of a convention, one heck of a TOTALLY BOARING CONVENTION!
I must add this point. With all of their focus on "This is the time of the end" they seem to have virtually ceased in providing 'proof' that we actually are living at the end of 'this wicked world'. Does anybody else see this? They don't talk about the earthquakes, famie, disease, etc. the way they used to. Now it's all just general crud that means nothing.

Drew, that is exactly the same way I felt. I was thinking the first day that the recurring theme for each talk was not on Deliverance, but on loyalty to the GB and the society. Same old drivel was spouted out about meetings and associating with Jehovah's people but nothing about the "Critical Times" we are living in.

The final talk, which is always the highlite of the assembly, the speaker was talking about how close the end is and how world conditions point to the nearness of Armageddon. Then a few sentences later he announced that "you will be pleased to know that the Society has made plans for district conventions for 2007" and every one applauded! Don't they realize that the end is so near but it will not be at least in the next 12 months.

Reminds me of the last assembly I went to about 5 years ago when they were telling us the end was just around the corner. Meanwhile they had embarked on a massive 3 or 4 year building project at London Bethel
