Will your congregation exist in 50 years?

Fifty years is a long time.

Do you think your congregation that you did/are associating with will exist then?

The probability may exist that for congs. of elderly publishers, they will either have to merge or disband.

    ROFL!

Fifty years is a long time, and I doubt I'll be around that long. I'm not concerned about only my former congregations. I like to distribute my contempt equally among all JWs, not just a few.

I'd like to see all JWs gone in my lifetime.

I don't give a rats-sack either, but many congregations have a lot of elderly people with few coming in. The only inc. is through JW's moving to congs or children of JW parents who get baptised but don't bother reaching out.

Even in 10 years, there could be a substantial decline.

Mine was disolved about a year ago, and our territory transfered to another one.

Just talked to my wife about this. Since our cong. is mostly filled with old people it will more than likely merge with the other congregation that shares the same KH. The congregation will be gone in 50 years no doubt, me and my wife make up the less than 10 that are under 40.

I'm banking on this entire religion being gone in 50 years. I'll be 70ish. So the joy will probably give me a heart attack.

Of course it will....but in the new system. So the elders that are in place now will still be in place 50 years from now.

Now, doesn't that just make you wanna believe in a paradise on earth?

    lol @ Dune.

My old hall had a lot of multi-generational families with lots of kids. Although a lot of us left, there were still so many who stayed and are now raising their kids in the "truth".

I doubt that there are new members (I only remember one family converting and now one 1 of that family still attends) but I just can't see it disappearing. The ones that stayed were hardcore dubs. They'll be there till the bitter end.
