I'm an early bird. I leave for work at 5am, breathing in nice freah air. No cars on the road. Beautiful bird song. I'm loving it now, but dreading it in winter.

Night owl here. I don't have to get up for work too early, around 8am, so I tend to stay up late most nights. I do have the occasional early night though.

If I had it my way I would get up at nine or ten in the morning and go to bed aroung ten at night. I have no trouble falling asleep and if I do I will take a melatonin and that puts me to sleep. Natural hormone. I like to have a lot of sleep to feel good but rarely get it as someone always has to get up and be somewhere.

CodeBlue- I mirror your thoughts exactly. Only last night I was up watching TV from 1.00am until 3.00am because i couldn't sleep.
On the thread of whether one is a night owl or not, all I can say is I've noticed that if I wake up feeling very tired, within half an hour I will feel fine. However, if I wake up feeling quite alert, I know that it won't be long until I feel very tired again. Weird huh? -

I also like staying up late until 1 or 2 AM and as many times as I have tried I can't change this.

Night Owl or Early Bird?
Neither.
I head to bed around 10:00 or 11:00 PM and I wake up around 8:00.
My Dr. says this is because I have sleep apnea, which prevents me from getting "good" sleep... so he set me up with a CPAP device and I used it for the first time last night. What a miserable experience. He swears I'll get used to it... I sure hope he's right.

I'm definitely a night owl but I usually have to get up early everyday. My husband's a night owl and a morning person both. But he knows not to come around me until I've been up awhile and had at least 3 cups of coffee. Then all is well :p
