Yes, to destroy cowards like you who use and use and use our government and can't even find it in your heart to GIVE instead of taking.

To destroy people like you who rejoice over the suffering of innocents, and call it 'all a part of God's plan.'

You're right. If Armeggeddon is about destroying users like you, bring it on. I can't wait.

Hey, Lisa, I can see we are both feeling very emotional. I lost two neighbors in this attack, and I'm feeling grief over the whole thing.

I understand where you are coming from. I just hate black-and-white thinking. For all the wonderful things America stands for, there are also problems we must be vigilant to protect against. Similarly, for all the hatred expressed toward America by some, there are plenty of others in those lands who do not feel that way. I no more wish to nuke whole nations than I wanted to see innocent lives lost in this country.

Black-and-white thinking is never called for, for we don't live in a black-and-white world. Ever.

For all my emotions, I am not letting my core personality change. My values remain the same as they did before, for they were based on reason and that reason remains. I love this country, and that gives me the right to point out its flaws. I want those responsbile caught. I also don't want unnecessary liberties removed, especially permanently (which is far too often the way any government works -- once you give them a power, they keep it forever).

But I'm not in the mood to fight with you. I understand your perspective, and I support you.

Some infantile reactions were to be expected. Racially derogatory comments only display ignorance. "Wacky puertorricans" have died for the American flag in many wars, my family members included. The recent events in the Pentagon touched me personally. You see, we do a bit more than drink and dance.

Small town America as a target comes from the mouth of a personal friend, an American from a Southern state that works in a dependency that equips him to make the statement.

Sadly, camel excrement is not at Walmart but in NY and Washington. I hope this monumental tragedy will awaken your senses.

    Alma,

Clearly from my post, not all Puerto Ricans are wacky. Just as not all Muslims are terrorist.

For you to believe our senses are so dulled, first you'll have to answer a question for me.

Why, if national security is so important for small town Americans and Puerto Ricans alike, can't the US Navy continue our bombing exercises on Vieques Island?

Maybe it's not *our* senses that are dulled.

Many puertorricans oppose manuevers in Vieques because the island is a municipality full of people. The recent events were provocked by the death of a civilian by friendly fire. That incited the leftist side and all hell broke loose. Many Americans think this is an inhabited island. Would you like to hear bomibng in your back yard day in and day out? If the island is so vital and there is no other place in the world where this manuevers can be performed, the people must be taken out of there and a place must be provided for them.

Obviously, from what I posted in my previous reply, I don't wish the Navy to leave. And if you think there are not enough puertorricans that think like me you are very mistaken.

I am sorry. But security must be of primary importance in America now
because you have realized you are as vulnerable as anybody else. And terrorism can only be dealt with with a firm hand. These past days have been too horrific.
