No, I'm not looking for a job, but I need to know how much they pay. I want accurate info for my speech.
How much does Bethel pay these days?

Last I heard it was about $110/120 a month. That includes travel expenses, clothing allowance and miscellaneous. Many years ago it was $14 a month.

$110 that's not much in the year 2006, but the Bethelites are looking for the fame and status of having been at Bethel to satisfy their vanity. All they produce is poisonous literature that misleads and enslaves minds.

How generous! They pay them peanuts for years, then turn them out to fend for themselves without relevant skills for today's job market,
What a loving, caring organisation the wts is.

What-A-Coincidence
When I was in I did not complain only because I always got handshakes from the "friends." The "friends" took me to the mall to shop for anything that I wanted. They would invite me to the movies and to eat anywhere they went. They would also pickme up to go the congreation and then drop me off. I can't say it well for most. I would definately suffer with only $110. It would dissapear on rides to the subway.
Once there was a talk at morning worship that we should depend on the friends to subsidize our literature expenses. WTF? So stupid me probably gave hundreds in contributions.
So, yes. bethel only pays $110 per month. I would not be surprised if this went up because of all the ones who have left and the expenses for gas have gone up.

Yep, when I was there (back in the 70's) it was $14 a month. But back then I really don't think they expected anyone to NOT get help from home, your old congregation friends, you new congregation friends, etc. and most did, that's how we lived!
I had some "roomies" that made out pretty good, regularly coming in late after the meetings with food, clothing and cash from local bro's.
The whole $$ arrangement, still to this day sucks like a hoover.....
