Jehovah is speeding up slowing down the work in his own time. When I joined the cult in 1983 we covered our territory every 2-3 months. When I left in 2003 many territories were unworked in as much as 2-3 years, in a congregation that boasted over a dozen regular pioneers™.
Interestingly, in 1983 there was 1 donut shop in the territory. Today there are 6.

I live in a trailer park that sits near a local KH. There are over 300 trailers in the park. I've been here since about September 2001... no JWs have been here door-knocking.
Ironically though... I've had Mormons knock on my door. They went away when I told them I wasn't interested in god or christ or talking to them.

It makes you wonder where all the reported hours are being done, doesn't it?
Since the last 10 years, I've noticed that JW's aren't visible like they used to. I remember in the 1980's, how I'd see JW's everywhere. I guess the Kingdom doesn't come first anymore.
Another irony... here locally, within a few miles of my location homes are being built - and going up an an almost alarming rate! New homes - heck - entire new communities are being created almost on a monthly basis.
Them there 'door-knockers' better git offn their hineys iffn they're gonna git everyone 'converted'.

We moved to Apostaland from Dubdom about 3 years ago this fall. Though we didn't sign the lease in Apostland till Jan '04. One elder [an old friend - I suppose I should use the term loosely here] visited once to invite us to the Un-Memorial of Christ's death. That was a year and half back now. Other than that have seen no sign of 'em in this hood.

I ve been at my residence since Oct 2002 and I have never seen a JW even on my street, its a very known street too. I live 2-3 houses down from JWs that I grew up with who know I am DFd, perhaps they do not come to my door because they told the KH that I am DFd, who knows but I have never seen them in my area.

Oh, I should say that that same elder and one of his cohorts did show up a few weeks back with blood in thier eye and bearing a 'Avenger of Blood' badge. The intent was of course to slaughter me in a spiritual sense right on my own backyard alter. Wifey did not bother to answer the door, so they put the lancet back in the scabre and went away.
As far as door to door - nope haven't seen the little 'locusts' about. Seems like one would see a swarm like they claim to be......

The only time the JWs go door to door now is when there is a major disaster like the boxing day tsunami a few years back. I know JWs that have not been door to door in 20 years all of the sudden they were knocking doors when that disaster happened.
The poor Jws are all victims of the spin doc. Doctor Borg that is.
The hours reported are mostly Jw parents studying with their kids. There is no need to convert the wordly masses any more as the Jws naturally reproduce and their kids are naturally Jws.
