    Nathan,

    That is the best reasoning I have ever heard. Obviously, without contraception, Eve would have fallen pregnant within several months of being created. So Eve must have been created 129 years after Adam if he was 130 before his first child. So 6000 years after creation will be in 2105. If I live that long I think I will start a new doomsday cult religion.

    The reasoning for 2008 is such rubbish. That were doing that same line 100 years ago.

    I agree with you Honesty. I believed everything that was said from the platform and from the elders that I thought cared for me. Its really sick when you think about it.

    Adam was about 30 when Eve was created,

    Serious question guys.... Was Adam created as a 30 y.o. or as a baby, and if as a baby, who took care of him until he was big enough to take care of himself.... ???

    This is the only way that a JW can keep moving forward and continue in their busy schedule.

    keep looking forward to 2008, when it does not show up, try 2011 and so on, many of us got screwed in beleiving all that crap and contributing to it.

    i would love to see the GB saying that they truly don't know and it might even be a few hundred years away.

    How many JW's would walk out of the Kingdom Hall ?

    According to Genesis, wasn't Adam 130 years old when Seth was born, the third son, after Cain killed Abel? In this quote the WT implies that Adam was 30 years old when Abel was born:

    *** w67 6/15 p. 384 Questions From Readers ***

    Well, the third recorded son of Adam and his wife Eve was born shortly after Abel’s death and when Adam was 130 years of age. (Gen. 5:3) At the time of Seth’s birth Eve said: "God has appointed another seed in place of Abel, because Cain killed him." (Gen. 4:25) It is not at all likely that Eve would have said this if a great many years had intervened; she evidently desired a son to replace the murdered Abel, and so the birth of Seth must have occurred shortly after Abel’s death. It is possible, then, that Abel may have been as much as a hundred years old at the time of his martyrdom.

    Well that's where we get the story of Tarzan. See Tarzan was raised by the monkeys... Jehovah just left that part out of the bible.

    Tarzan = Adam

    Michael the Ark Angle = Jesus

    It's all the same logic.

    If Adam was 33 years on this earth before he got Eve, it probably explains the propensity for pedophilia in 'God's organization'. Hmm.

    Yet none of that is actually in the Bible. Just shows how much they want it to be. When 2008 happens, and nothing ends, you will hear another silly formula.
