I very much respect everybody's opinion and recognize that like religion, there is so much emotionalism tied up with this issue that it's difficult to discuss.
The key word here is emotionalism. This issue seems to bring more "feelings" than facts to the table by the anti-gun side every time. Our media does not help. After all, how often do you hear about someone saving a life or defending themself with a firearm in the news? It happens everyday, but you only hear about the bad caused, not the good done.
It never ceases to amaze me that there are even some that believe the anti-gun sites stance on the 2nd amendment. Even a cursory examination of the facts would show anyone that the 2nd means just what it says. - But the lies just keep getting told.
