By beloved dog Allie died 2 years ago. She was a large (95 lbs) Husky, Shepard, Golden mix and lived to be 14. The next day I saw a butterfly pin and it made me think of her so I bought it in her memory. I felt she had a Butterfly sprit and now she was as free as a butterfly, released from her physical problems. The next day I looked out the window and way a huge yellow butterfly go by. I couldn't help but think - Oh, there goes Allie. My hubbie thought I was nuts, but the next day he called me from work and said a huge yellow butterfly kept dive bombing him. So whenever I see a yellow butterfly it makes me smile and think of Allie. This year hubbie reported that again a large yellow butterfly was following him all day. I checked and sure enough, it was exactly 2 years to the day that she had died. Call me crazy.

Durring a ayahausca trip recently I meet up with my animal spirit, it was a black jaguar. It grabbed me by the jaw with its teeth playfully. I asked it if it was my guarding spirit it said yes, and that it had been watching over me. i then asked it why I had so many dificulties if it was my guarding spirit, it just said I'm a jaguar and the way it confronts these things is different than the way humans do. He said that he would give me the wisdom and strenght diferent from what humans would give and that I would get more familiar with his ways in the future. This made me feel very strong and fearless. It then proceeded to bite me in the side and sink its teeth into me, all done in playfulness, i was unafraid and he felt like an old friend.
WHile tripping i came to feel for for this majestic animal, and his resentment for human institutions(governments)that have destroyed so much of his habitat and put this species on the list for possible extinction.
Heres a clip and link about ayahuasca if anyone is interested.
http://www.newageinfo.com/ayahuasca-experience.htm
The word ayahuasca is Quechua for vine of the dead or vine of the soul. “You can have some difficult, harsh, horrendous experiences in an ayahuasca ceremony,” Jyoti said, “but you always come out of them. One of her recent experiences included an encounter with a jaguar spirit. “At one point during one of the ceremonies I was confronted with a jaguar. In the Amazonian mythology, the jaguar is a traditional carrier of power. As this jaguar stood right in front of me, I had the experience of being very calm and receptive, knowing what it was presenting to me, knowing that I had a choice in how I wanted to relate to this jaguar. I just sat still and opened my heart and this jaguar came and licked my body all over. In that moment it was a very - my heart was happy and strong and yet I did have tears of gratitude. It was quite a beautiful moment. This jaguar was just licking my body all over from head to toe. Many years ago when I first started the medicine, that would have been very scary for me. Traditionally, in shamanic terms, when a power animal comes to you and you open to it, even if it devours you, that’s a really healthy thing in terms of absorbing that energy.”

I don't give any spirits to Rocco. Alcohol is bad for birdies.
