I was dragged into the JWs as a child; I was not given a choice. When I became an adult, I left the cult as soon as I was able.

Because the WTS destroys lives, divides families, promotes hatred toward everyone not of them, protects child molesters and pedophiles, and denies that it does any of these things.
It's not just that many here are angry and bitter on their own account; it's that the WTS continues to promote its malicious agenda on new, unsuspecting people and their children. If the voices on this site go silent, it will be that much easier for the WTS to get away with their crimes.

Because we feel hostile toward the WTS. I think most of us here distinguish between the rank and file and the actual maggot GB who are the puppetmasters.

Let me ask you. Do you feel passionately about wrongdoing? Or do you live in a world where you avoid thinking about unpleasant, distasteful things? "It doesn't affect me anymore so why should I care what they're doing to others"

Welcome to the board Hambeak! One purpose for this board is for one's such as yourself to be able to discuss issues/beliefs without being considered an apostate. And come to honest conclusion/interpetations. (whatever?) Here's an example: if you were to ask a witless oops, I mean witness who controls the Watchtower corporation they would say Jehovah. But that's not true. All corporations are controlled by the State Attorny General of each state. The watchtower corp. is a 501-3(c) corporation which means non-profit. So in truth it's not Jehovah who controls The WTS it's the State's Attorny Generals. So the question is... Why is the WTS accepting priveleges from the BEAST/STATE? Because they truly have no REAL faith in God. to provide for and protect them, so they've asked the State for protection rather than trusting in Jehovah. And that goes for all churches. where do they get their Authority.. God... or the State through incorporation? It dosen't matter what they teach, what matters is, are they incorporated with the State? Whose Authority are they under? God's or the State's This board is for the openning of eyes, to the deceptions of the WTS Acadian

Why is it that in this book there are no black persons or presumably any other race other than whites? Is it that we are telling our Children that there were no other race except whites in Bible times? Isn't this being racist?

Hambeak, I think you already answered your own question. You are angry too, just suppressing it. You might find it easier to move on if you speak about the injustices you suffered. Forgive me, I've mentioned this to other new posters, but I'll repeat it again:

Not everyone here is a witness. For instance, I am a never-JW married to one. I think the Watchtower Society is a damaging, high-control religion whose abuses need to be brought to the attention of the general public. The society continues to interfere with the peaceful operation of our marriage. Sure, I am passionate about it, but not hostile. I'm pretty sure.

I have always been one to show mercy to others, but I myself was not shown mercy. That is what fuels my fire towards the Watchtower Society. It interfered in my marriage, discouraged me from a successful musical career as a concert cellist, and booted me out when I had difficulties, and left me to beg for help from strangers....all after 35 years of sterling faithful service. Wonderful loving merciful organization-NOT!

I would hope that one day I will not be bitter and angry anymore .
It helps to vent here about things I was never allowed to talk about before . It has also helped me tremendously to learn I'm not alone. For years I thought it was just me, that I was a weak and bad person . Now I don't.
I think it is a process and some take longer to go through the stages. Each of us are dealing with the hurt in our own way.

Troubled Mind, having anger towards something or expressing the opinion that something is bad is not in itself a bad thing. It is maturity to form opinions and express opinions about what is good and bad. It is adult to decide what is good or bad for yourself. To accept every idea as truth or every person as good is to be a gullible naive child.
