Hey Decki, do you deliver to other places too? That was very kind of you.
It's so interesting that this topic was started on the day I did a big thing. Most days, I just hold doors open for people, or listen to people vent (even though I don't want to)- you know, the small stuff. I just think the small courtesies add up over time, and contribute to a civilized society.
I am both happy and proud to be in the company of all you fine people who are so kind to others! Keep it up. Kindess will always come back to you..
Like Serendipity, I try to live it each day....being sensitive, supportive and have a caring understanding attitude. Last week I brought our town homeless man a ice cold juice to drink. But I think I am the recipient of more kindnesses than the giver. Thanks for the thread. I need to look for more opportunities to show kindness today.

I went to Aldi's (a local discount grocery) and as I was fumbling around for a quarter for a cart a lady came up to me and gave me her cart. I tried to give her her quarter back but she said not to worry about it. I used the cart and tried to return the favor for the next lady. She told me not to worry about it, took the cart and gave me my quarter back.
Well, I found out that I was the beneficiary of a belated act of kindness.
I dreaded going to the dentist today because I owe him nearly $1000 due to the lousy dental insurance I have. After we were done with the routine stuff, he tells me that since the insurance company wouldn't pay, he convinced the lab to replace the 4 year old crown free of charge, and he'd only charge me a portion of his usual fee. I got out of there for only $132, which is less than he charges for a filling!!!

Im going to make sure I do one tomorrow. I never left my comfort zone today.
A JW waited on me at a pizza place and when I was done eating I got up leaving nothing for him on the table.
He met me at the door and asked "Aren't you gonna give me a tip?"
"Oh yeah !", I replied. So I wrote him a check for fifty dollars and handed it to him. He almost cried for sheer gratitude. Then I told him:
"Here is your tip: "Don't try to cash this thing, it's no good."
Just kidding.But I thought it could be a pretty cool joke.
Today, I donated money to a fund to buy upgraded flack vests for some 'boys'. Don't know if that counts or not...
