Yesterday I awoke and knew that things had changed.

Yep, I walked outside and I could feel it gently blowing across my cheeks.

I looked up and saw a flag.

Yep, sure enough, I could see it!

The wind....oh the glorious northerly wind.

After weeks of winter winds, it seemed for me that was just a memory for now the warm northerly was there - just ever so gently at first but promising better things to come.

    Yes folks, summer's coming downunder!

Me, too, Ozzie. You can have all the rest of our Summer. It's dam HOT here and no rain coming to cool things off. Can't wait till autumn and cooler weather. It's been in the high 90's and low 100's here in Texas.

This is so wierd Ozzie!! Just yesterday I noticed that the air "felt" and had a certain autumn "smell" to it. Others noticed it also. Is that strange or what? I live in Wisconsin USA

Yeah, the other day I was driving and the light of that day seems different...feels like autumn it coming. One of the things I enjoy about living in the Midwest is the change of seasons...summer cooling into autumn and winter melting into spring. Love it!

Yesterday when I walked to work it was a whole 9 degrees. BEAUTIFUL... compared to last week when it was minus 7.

But I'm not easily fooled. The weather is lulling us into a false sense of spring. Come October its going to be freezing again. Happens every year.

Lisa - we must've posted the exact same time as my edited post didn't come up and I had to re edit it.

You fast on the draw girl!

My son is in Arkansas for work and he's hating the continual heat. There is no relief.

I really do feel for you guys!

Ah would that you could send a northerly wind, albeit from the Arctic as opposed to the equator, down Texas way. We've been having your difficulties this year. No rain and hellish temperatures.

I, for one, hope and pray to God/Jehovah/Allah/Hindu floaty thing that Texas has the most bitter winter on record. Or at least gets below 90 in December.
