I guess nothing can be done, then. That really burns.

Actually, you can contest the will. I spoke with a elder about this last year and he mentioned that the society doesn't want to go to court fighting surviving family members and is willing to settle out of court. It could mean a extra $20 grand or more in your pocket as long as the society get the bulk. This happened in my congregation, a sister died and gave her house to the bOrg. The surviving non-witness family decided to fight and recovered a portion of the selling price of the house. The brother who was handling the matter was a bethel elder and he was told the societies position of this matter. (it is hush hush of course)

    Yes,

Nothing can be done, but I thank all of you for your sympathy. This has not been easy to swallow. Especially since I never was able to go beyond high school and my father was adament about it for his grandsons.

I am beyond angry, and feel very greatfull I have 2 beautiful Dobermans who adore our family who are perfectly willing to disect anyone who comes to our front door not introduced.

    Good luck any JWs.

    I'm not clear...

Did the boys get any money for their education or was everything sent to the society?

The only way to "erase" a HD is to get a 5lb sledge hammer and break it into a million pieces.

Dropping it into the bay afterwards is also recommended.

Why don't you call the elders and tell them you want to reassociate yourself? Go to one meeting and ask for permission to speak to your Mom. Most elders will see that as a reasonable request and grant it. They will even call her and tell her that Hehoover has blessed you and you may now communicate with her again.

When that happens ask her for the money then when you get it spout every apostate idea you can think of; show up at her house wearing a cross and XMas tree on your head then deny everything to the elders.

    Make them pay

That is awful, theft plain and simple.

Even if you did get the money, it wouldnt be able to restore your lost education. Im so sorry. At the very least I would be tempted to write a letter (complete with scriptures) damning what she did.

Yep, its digusting! I hate to hear of anyone missing out on an education because of that stupid advice that the society dishes out. Having an education stolen from you makes matters worse.

By far the majority of people left in that organisation dont realise what a filthy rich organisation it is. I think if people did they would wise-up about donating so much to them.

Everything written to a computer hard drive that gets erased, leaves a 'shadow' and can be retrieved. Or so i've been told!!

You should make enquiries and consider legal action.

Bloody Hell though......$200,000 to the WTS??? My coffee and croissants may be coming staight back up

    Peace
